A good, solid, soaking rain today.
Rain to water the much-dried earth and water the lawn.
Rain to wet down the three cords of unstacked wood in the driveway -- wood that needs to dry out before next season's heating hopes.
Into every life a little rain must fall.

Yes thanks! Hedge to be trimmed, Bushes and trees to be pruned, grass to be cut etc etc, its also raining here on the Pacific shores and my back is sore so the little rain is REALLY welcome, plus a bottomless tea-pot and "Selected Letters of Grahame Greene" is beckoning!
